This residential façade in Fitzroy had become heavily weathered and run-down, with widespread cracking, minor structural movement and deteriorated mortar joints affecting both its appearance and long-term condition.

To stabilise the brickwork, extensive Helifix stainless steel stitch ties were installed throughout the façade, reinforcing cracked areas and helping prevent further movement. The rendered archway was also carefully stitch tied before being repaired and re-rendered to match the surrounding original finish.

Once the structural repairs were complete, the entire façade was tuckpointed using lime mortar. The completed restoration has completely transformed the property, reinstating the crisp detailing and character of the original brickwork while providing a durable finish designed to protect the façade for generations to come.
